Holiday Homes in Europe
From country cottages in Ireland, England or Wales to farmhouses in Tuscany or Provence or indeed ski chalets in the Swiss and French Alps there has been a long tradition of renting private homes for holidays in Europe. To date we at TravelOwl have concentrated on homes by the sea, specifically the 'Med', to which during the long summer months much of Europe seems to decamp, to enjoy the sunshine, the swimming, the coffee shops, bars and restaurants that make this such a great destination for the whole family.
The Mediterranean
The Mediterranean once played a hugely significant role in the history of the region, with early civilisations developing on its shores, but now it is Europe's playground, encircled by villas, hotels and palaces and supporting a huge influx of tourists each year. The weather is reliably glorious in the summer months, and even in the winter months it offers sunshine and warmth much sought after by those further north in Europe.From Portugal in the West, through Spain, France, Italy, Greece, Turkey and then Cyprus in the East villas and apartments can be found that offer fantastic holiday accommodation.
